The 25+ age requirement is driven by insurance requirements for operating luxury vehicles in a commercial capacity. Additionally, we require a minimum of 5 years driving experience to ensure chauffeurs have substantial experience navigating various driving conditions and situations. This combination ensures passenger safety and professional service delivery.
Base pay is $23/hour plus gratuities. Most chauffeurs earn additional $50-150 per shift in tips, depending on the types of services provided. Wedding and wine tour services typically generate higher gratuities ($100-200 for weddings, $75-150 for wine tours).
Total compensation typically ranges from $30-45 per hour including base pay plus tips. Your actual earnings depend on shift types, service quality, and availability during peak times (Friday/Saturday evenings).
Pay is distributed bi-weekly (every two weeks) via direct deposit. Tips are included in your paycheck, not collected in cash.
Visible tattoos are not permitted while in uniform. If you have tattoos on your arms, neck, hands, or face, they must be coverable by standard business attire (long-sleeve dress shirt, dress pants). If your tattoos can be completely covered by professional chauffeur attire, you're welcome to apply.
The season runs April through August, with the busiest period being May through August (peak wedding season in Seattle). Start and end dates may vary slightly based on business needs, but most chauffeurs work approximately April 1 - August 31, 2025.
This is a seasonal, part-time position. Hours vary based on client demand and bookings. This is not a full-time 40-hour per week position.
Night availability is required for this position. Weddings, wine tours, and special events - our core seasonal business - primarily occur during evening and late-night hours. A significant portion of our business occurs between 6 PM - 2 AM. If you cannot work evenings/nights, this position is not a good fit.
Hours vary significantly but are typically higher during peak season. Expect anywhere from 15-30+ hours per week during May-August. Weekend availability (Friday-Sunday) significantly increases your earning potential. April tends to be lighter with 10-15 hours as we ramp up for wedding season.
It means you must be available for irregular shifts that change weekly. There are no set shifts like "every Saturday 2-10 PM." You'll receive shift opportunities based on client bookings, typically with 24-48 hours notice. Successful chauffeurs are those who can accept varied times including last-minute requests and can work both day and night shifts.
No, you do not need a commercial driver's license (CDL). You need a valid Washington State driver's license and a perfectly clean 5-year driving record with no accidents or violations. Our Mercedes Sprinter vans and sedans do not require CDL certification.
Unfortunately, we require a completely clean 5-year MVR with no accidents or violations of any kind. This strict standard ensures the safety of our clients and maintains our premium insurance requirements. Even minor violations disqualify applicants. We recommend applying after your 5-year record is clear.
Yes! All new chauffeurs receive comprehensive paid training on our vehicles, customer service standards, Seattle area routing, and company procedures before their first solo assignment. Training typically begins in late March/early April and takes 2-3 days. You'll ride along with experienced chauffeurs before operating independently.
While most positions are seasonal (April-August), exceptional chauffeurs who demonstrate outstanding service, reliability, and professionalism may be considered for extended employment or year-round opportunities based on performance and business needs. We do maintain a small year-round team for corporate and airport services.
Yes! This position is ideal for experienced drivers 25+ years old seeking seasonal summer employment with flexible hours and competitive pay. The April-August timeframe works well for those with summer availability. Many of our chauffeurs return year after year during the peak season. Perfect for professionals with flexible schedules or semi-retired individuals looking for supplemental income.
We specialize in luxury transportation with a focus on quality over quantity. Our chauffeurs drive premium Mercedes vehicles (not older models), serve discerning high-end clients, and are treated as professionals with competitive pay ($23/hour is above Seattle market rate) and respect. We maintain strict standards which means working with professional teammates in a premium environment. Plus you keep 100% of your tips, which is not standard in the industry.
We serve the entire greater Seattle metro area including Bellevue, Tacoma, Everett, Kirkland, Redmond, and Woodinville. You'll drive throughout the Puget Sound region for services.
